It’s time for a black exit.

Political activist and social media star Candace Owens addresses the many ways that Democrat Party policies hurt, rather than help, the African American community, and why she and many others are turning right.

Black Americans have long been shackled to the Democrats. Seeing no viable alternative, they have watched liberal politicians take the black vote for granted without pledging anything in return. In Blackout, Owens argues that this automatic allegiance is both illogical and unearned.

She contends that the Democrat Party has a long history of racism and exposes the ideals that hinder the black community’s ability to rise above poverty, live independent and successful lives, and be an active part of the American Dream. Instead, Owens offers up a different ideology by issuing a challenge: It’s time for a major black exodus. From dependency, from victimhood, from miseducation—and the Democrat Party, which perpetuates all three.

Owens explains that government assistance is a double-edged sword, that the Left dismisses the faith so important to the black community, that Democrat permissiveness toward abortion disproportionately affects black babies, that the #MeToo movement hurts black men, and much more. Weaving in her personal story, which ushered her from a roach-infested low-income apartment to1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, she demonstrates how she overcame her setbacks and challenges despite the cultural expectation that she should embrace a victim mentality.

Well-researched and intelligently argued, Blackout lays bare the myth that all black people should vote Democrat—and shows why turning to the right will leave them happier, more successful, and more self-sufficient.

  • A Clearly Disturbed Young Woman

These days nothing should surprise us—not even tomes written for the sheer purpose of achieving ‘stardom’—whether it’s popularity with the Right or the Left. If you find that the Left is a little harder on your falsehoods than the Right, you go for the Right, and if you mouth enough of the emotive buzz words that trigger them, you might get a spot on Fox “News”, or even, one day, become president. But this particular author has gone much farther than any normal person would by embracing white nationalists and vilifying over half the country, including those of her own race. Her latest unhinged tirades are bombastic, unpleasant, insulting, and filled with false narrative based upon some sort of twisted logic that only she understands—the only logical explanation for her weird interpretations of reality in this book is an embarrassment of kowtowing to white nationalists who treat her as the celebrity she pines for, yet laugh at her from the corners of their mouths. Also, if her goal is to vilify the anti-racist Left (who she accuses of insincere patronization) and embrace white racists, when those very same whites achieve their dream of ejecting blacks from the country, who is going to stand by her side? Nazis? No one is buying her pitch—even the racists, who DO patronize her—as a political tool. Sadly, she could put her talents to far better use by helping the cause of racial equality and social justice, but she has chosen the path of least resistance to fame and fortune like so many who make millions off the gullible and easily duped. This is what the author attempts here, quite transparently so, through her rather twisted, somewhat unique form of propaganda.

  • Solid arguments, great and easy read

Wow, just wow. I am “woke” to the slavery the Democratic party burdens Black America with. Owens makes a solid case, with remarkable arguments, of how the Left continually enslave Black America (BA) and how Black America falls for it, hook line and sinker. You need to read this book; she goes into the history of Black America and the why, who, what and how BA has been deceived and voted Democratic. Black America, save yourselves and WALK AWAY from the Left. She will open your eyes to the reality of your worth to the Left, which to them isn’t much, they just want your vote.
  • Fake news from a Fox News darling

Owens now calls the NAACP “one of the worst groups for Black people,” even though the organization helped her win a racial discrimination lawsuit. In 2007, she accused some white boys of racially harassing and threatening to kill her. Owens claimed the boys were the son of then-Stamford Mayor Dannel Malloy, Connecticut’s former governor. Because of the NAACP, Owens’ family received a settlement of $37,500 from Stamford Public Schools. Scot X. Esdaile, the Connecticut NAACP president who helped Owens with her lawsuit, was shocked to hear she had become a conservative. Esdaile told Mic, “We’re very saddened and disappointed in her. It seems to me that she’s now trying to play to a different type of demographic.”

Ideas, become concepts, which become ideologies, which can become beliefs, which become the way you think . But not all ideas are true....Candace introduces new ideas, a different view on political party’s, the rule that the media is seeking by narratives and thought, restoring ones own critical thinking and choices, and the thought of belief in God back into our realm. One big thing I take from the read is we missing respect and remembrance of not that long ago Americans, that happen to be black and what they went through and she tells some amazing emotional stories to put our thinking in place about how we should be more appreciative about our country without saying we should. Big thanks for the book Ms. Owens. Great work. I hope we cross paths one day . - “And now you shall see how a slave was made a man” F. Douglas ...Big Wow

Candace’s book not only uses historical, data driven fact - which she cites for readers to also continue their own research; but she also relates it back so well to her own life, family history, and the Black American community. It’s honest, thoughtful, and her perspectives are what so many Gen Y / early millennials are trying to articulate and speak on. Every chapter is to the point and then some. She’s given us her entire viewpoint in a easy to follow and REAL voice. This is one of the best books I’ve read. It will for sure be a classic for decades.
